ʻO Wai ʻO Waiʻeli?
Waiʻeli, water that must be dug for; named for one of Lāʻie's farming terraces recorded in Sites of Oʻahu (Elspeth P. Sterling and Catherine C. Summers, 1978.) From a Hawaiian perspective, water is commonly associated wealth and knowledge. With Waiʻeli, I hope to share both modern and traditional moʻolelo (stories) through more contemporary means.
